Grand Opening of Argo Tea Cafe in SCE!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UIC chapter.

Here at UIC, we love our on-campus cafes. We love them so much that there’s at least one in practically every major building. But just in case any of the ones we already have don’t float your boat, you can rejoice in the opening of UIC’s latest café venture, Argo Tea!

One of the biggest perks about Argo Tea is that it offers a plethora of healthy options for students, including teas and food made from fresh, natural ingredients. If you’re health conscious or have dietary restrictions, they have plenty of vegan, gluten-free, and raw choices to choose from! The availability of these choices definitely sets Argo apart from its on-campus competition.

While Argo Tea brews all of your favorite traditional tea blends, like Black, Green, Mint, and Apple, they also have a variety of signature blends such as Carolina Honey, Moji-Tea, and Blueberry White tea. They specialize in creating delicious concoctions out of these blends by adding in fresh juices and milk, so be sure to stop by and try one!

If you can’t stay to enjoy your drink, Argo luckily sells their tea in loose-leaf form and bottles some of their signature beverages, so you can easily get a cozy tea experience at home or on the go! Another great perk that Argo offers is their LoyalTEA app (they had us at the pun), which you can download on your phone for free. The app allows you to order, pay, and rack up rewards. It also offers free Wi-Fi and has an option to send a gift to someone!

All in all, Argo Tea Café definitely had some standards to live up to on such a café-centric campus, but we’re confident that with their delicious blends, healthy choices, and opportunity for rewards, they won’t have any trouble making a name for themselves. Stop by today in Student Center East or visit Argo’s website and Facebook page to learn more!
