A perfectionist is a person who refuses to accept any standard short of perfection. If you happen to be a perfectionist then you know the struggle of how badly everything must be in order (to your liking), and if it’s not then you will lose you mind. Here are my 5 confessions of being a perfectionist.
1. I organize my closet at least twice a month.
Color-coded? Clothes divided by sections? Yes, you already know. I absolutely hate an unorganized closet.
2. I clean my room every week.
Don’t even get me started, everything needs to be neatly organized and placed accordingly within my room. My biggest peeve is to walk into a room where everything is unorganized and sloppy.
3. Whenever I go grocery shopping, I make sure dairy, meats, boxed, and frozen foods are organized within their own sections of the cart.
I know, I know it’s bad. But I have to admit, once I get home and see that everything is organized, I can easily place the food items in their correct place easily and quickly.
4. I wash my dishes the moment I finish eating.
I absolutely cannot sit back and watch those dirty dishes build up. Do you know what that means? More work in the end, grease build up, and it’s not good to look at. So it’s easier to just get the dishes done as soon as you’re done eating.
5. I carry my planner with me at all times.
I love to be on top of all my work and make sure I meet deadline at least three days ahead of time.
Whether you’re a perfectionist or not, I definitely recommend following at least one of these tips for a week (especially #5: carrying a planner with you). It will help you manage your time better and learn how to stay on top of your busy college life. I guarantee it!
