Spring Break is right around the corner, but the idea of planning a last minute trip can feel a bit daunting. Even though the idea of staying at home seems like the easiest option, here are five dream Spring Break destinations that you could eventually plan one day.

1. Disney World

You can never go wrong with Disney World. Orlando is a six-and-a-half drive from Atlanta, which isn’t an impossible drive if you had some company and good music. You can buy tickets for two or three days at Disney and could even add another day to visit Harry Potter World at Universal Studios. Disney World in Orlando contains the Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, EPCOT and the Animal Kingdom. Spend a few days watching shows, riding roller coasters and just soaking up the ambiance of Disney.

2. Smoky Mountain National Park

The U.S. is chock-full of National Parks for you to explore, but not many of them are free. Smoky Mountain National Park is free all year round. Spend some time hiking through the beautiful mountains, driving through Cades Cove, and explore the quirky town of Gatlinburg, Tennessee. It’s only a three-and-a-half hour drive from Athens, which is another great reason to go check it out!

3. Washington D.C.

Washington D.C. is our nation’s capital, but it’s also home to one of the largest museums in the world: The Smithsonian. The Smithsonian contains nineteen different free museums for you to explore. You can spend the whole week there and still not see everything. Since all the sight-seeing is free, you can be a bit more liberal with your eating out or hotel costs depending on your budget.

4. New York

If you’re willing to spend a little more money, New York is a great Spring Break trip. Round trip tickets from Atlanta are usually less than $200, and you can find tickets less than $100 if you’re savvy enough. Stay in a hostel to save money since you’ll be too busy exploring the Big Apple to do anything but sleep. Be sure to check out one of the many Broadway shows on Time Square and take in all that the city has to offer!

5. Toronto, Canada

There are some people that can leave the country for Spring Break, whether it’s on a cruise or beach trip to Mexico. If you want to visit another country, look no further than our neighbor in the North. Spend the break crossing Niagara Falls off your bucket list and taking Instagram-able posts in Graffiti Alley. Even though this is likely the most expensive trip on this list, it would definitely be a dream trip. Don’t hold yourself back!

Remember: your trip doesn’t have to be super expensive, and you’re only in college once! So now that you have some destination ideas, go book an awesome Spring Break adventure.
