8 Things That Happen During Finals Week

With finals week upon us, we hope that you find humor in this quick read (yes, we see you procrastinating on your studying) and we wish you the best of luck on your exams!

1.    You’re hungry enough to eat everything in sight.

Stress eating is definitely a thing and we don’t know about you, but during finals week, we feel as if we could never stop (plus we have to use up those extra swipes)!

2.    You suffer from a caffeine rush…

Coffee is literally the best thing ever when it comes to late night studying, and at this point, the amount of caffeine we have rushing through our body is probably concerning.

3.   …and then you can’t fall asleep.

At this point you’re tired beyond belief and you have to make a decision to either stay up and keep working but be dead inside the next day up or attempt to somehow fall asleep. It’s truly a struggle.

4.   Someone turns on a sad song and it’s all downhill from there.

When you’re already feeling stressed and close to your breaking point, all you need is one thing to send you over the edge. For us, the song “Chasing Cars” has been forever ruined (the gif explains it all) and we cannot help but cry every time we hear it, no matter where we are or who we’re with.

5.    You leave your room and hit the gym.

Exercise is a great stress reliever, plus you get to burn off all those extra calories.

6.    You need to study in silence but someone else in the room is being annoying and obnoxious and you have to contain yourself from doing anything irrational.

We think that’s enough said right there.

7.    You end up late night cramming.

This always happens no matter how hard you try to fight it.

8.    You wake up feeling like you’re either ready for anything or you’re completely unprepared, but the only positive is that you’ll be heading home when you’re finished.

No matter how good or bad you do, home is waiting for you, along with a perfect three week break…and then the cycle begins again.
