5 Crafty Activities For Your Galentine’s Day Gathering

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCLA chapter.

When hosting your Galentine’s Day event, there are a lot of factors that you must consider, including decorations, cute snacks, and themed drinks. However, I also feel that a party is never fully complete without an activity for you and your guests. Recently, my friends and I have been incorporating craft tables into our parties and gatherings for our guests to create things while they chat. With Valentine’s Day approaching, I have compiled a list of five Valentine’s-themed crafts that you can prepare for your upcoming Galentine’s Day gathering.

Charm Necklaces/bracelets

Making charm necklaces and bracelets is a perfect party activity for your Galentine’s Day celebration. These jewelry pieces have recently been making a comeback, with people sharing their experiences on Tik Tok of going to stores to build their personalized charm necklaces. Making these pieces at home can be a fun and easy alternative to buying them, and the perfect addition to your Galentine’s Day party. You can buy chains and charms at Michael’s or any other local craft store, or buy cute charms in bulk off of Amazon.

Painting Wine Glasses

Another craft that is perfect for your celebration is painting wine glasses. For this, you only need cheap wine glasses from a thrift store or even a dollar store, and some paint and brushes. You can even have your guests bring their own glasses to paint! Cute pink hearts or flowers painted on your glasses are perfect for a Galentine’s Day event!

Bouquet Making

One of my absolute favorite craft ideas for a Galentine’s party is bouquet or floral arrangement making. For this, have your guests each bring one bouquet of flowers from Trader Joe’s, get some brown paper and some twine, and have everyone build their own bouquets using the different flowers that everyone brought. This is such a cute activity, and it leaves everyone with something to bring home and display!

Paper Hearts And Cards

One of the simplest crafts that you could have at your event is a card making station. For this, all you need to provide is some colored construction paper, scissors, and colorful pens or markers. Your guests can then make cards for their friends and family, and cut out cute hearts or heart chain decorations to put up.

Cookie Decorating

Finally, if you like to bake, decorating cookies is a quintessential Galentine’s Day activity. You can prepare heart shaped sugar cookies before your party, and get a variety of frosting and sprinkles for people to decorate their cookies with. This is a perfect activity because it is both a fun craft and a sweet treat for your guests!

I hope that you can incorporate one or more of these crafts into your upcoming Galentine’s Day celebration. Happy Galentine’s Day!
