Everyone always thinks that yoga is confined to an hour of your day practicing in a studio. When in reality yoga is something you should be doing throughout your day. Yoga doesn’t start or end when you are taking a class. I like to add a few minutes of yoga throughout my day so even if I cannot make the 5:30 class at UCF, at least I still practice. Here are parts of your day you can add a few minutes of yoga to!

Waking up.

As I talked about in 10 Poses in 10 Minutes, doing yoga when you wake up always starts your day off right!

2- After a shower.

When you feel clean, you feel good, so add some yoga here as well!

3- Breaks between class.

The Reflection Pond is probably my favorite spot on campus, and there is something so peaceful about it.

4- Cooking dinner.

While you wait 30 seconds for your dinner to be done, hold a downward dog; it’ll feel great!

5- Before bed.

Meditating before bed will not only relax your body, but also your mind! It calms you down and makes your sleep that much better.
