Coming up with your Halloween costume can be super exciting. Maybe you’ve gotten into a new show and want to dress up as a character, or maybe you prefer a simpler costume idea. Regardless, one of the biggest issues with finding the perfect costume is the cost. The average costume from Spirit Halloween runs you $30, and that doesn’t even include a wig or props. A super easy, cheap way to create a picture-perfect Halloween costume is to take what you already have and transform it into something new.

Yuki Tsukumo, Jujutsu Kaisen

Of course, I had to throw my costume in for consideration. Yuki Tsukumo from Jujutsu Kaisen sports an easy-to-replicate outfit. She has long, blonde hair, a black sleeveless tank top, and a pair of jeans. Her accessories consist of a simple black belt and boots. The special-grade Jujutsu sorcerer is often paired with another Jujutsu Kaisen character, Choso Kamo, making this another great option for a couple’s costume.

If jeans don’t feel like a comfortable option for your costume, another outfit Yuki sports in Jujutsu Kaisen is the same black sleeveless tank with a pair of red athletic pants.

Carrie White, Carrie

Carrie White is a super easy closet costume because of her minimalistic style. One option for a Carrie costume includes the classic prom dress scene. If you have an old dress you’re willing to part ways with, this could be a super fun option!

Start by spraying fake blood on your dress; use as little or as much as you’d like. One key element of this costume is the makeup. You can use fake blood on your face and in your hair. If you’re not super interested in having to wash fake blood out of your hair, you can use red hairspray. It definitely still needs to be washed out, but it’ll be an easier process than fake blood.

Kim Possible + Ron Stoppable, Kim Possible

A super cute and easy-to-put-together couple’s costume idea is Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable. Kim’s classic couture includes a black long-sleeve shirt, green cargo pants, a black belt, and fingerless gloves. Ron’s mission outfit consists of a pair of grey cargo pants, a black long-sleeve shirt, and black shoes.

The great thing about Kim Possible characters is that throughout the show, they sport several different outfits. The Kim Possible fandom wiki page has a collection of every outfit the characters wore throughout the show, so if there’s a different outfit you can recreate, go ahead.

Your costume should be whatever makes you feel the best. If there’s a character you want to dress up as but don’t want to pay a nice dinner’s worth of money for a costume, your closet might surprise you. And of course, your outfit doesn’t have to be a one-of-one replica either; if you’d rather wear athletic shoes than heels, go for it. The only person whose opinion matters on what you wear is yourself.
