As exciting as it is to walk down the stage and receive your diploma, there are multiple steps you need to take before you’re handed your diploma.

Take Your Final Exams

Just because you’re graduating doesn’t mean you can stop caring about your grades. Your last semester is one of the most important out of your four years in college. Students are finishing their major classes and their teachers see the effort they put in the entire school year. If you want a letter of recommendation from those professors, you need to put in the work until the very end. You can celebrate once it’s all over.

Cap and Gown Pictures

It’s important to book a good photographer months before you graduate — the best photographers are easily booked a semester in advance. Social media is a great place to find photographers and you’ll have access to their work. Know where you want your photos taken on campus and see if you want any props or other elements implemented into your photoshoot. Having an idea to tell your photographer will help the process go by smoothly.

Have a Career Plan

Majors have a variety of careers a student can choose from, but it’s all about finding what you want to do with your future. It’s important to know what you need to do with your skills before you graduate, even if you don’t want to enter the workforce right off the bat — at least know what goals you intend to do with your newfound freedom.

Going through this list, are you ready for graduation?
