Our Fall Survival Kit Reviewed by Charlie the Dog

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCD chapter.

Her Campus at UC Davis is ready to give away some amazing items from its Back to School Fall Survival Kit. First, I want to give you a sneak peek of what could potentially be yours! Here to help is my dog, Charlie. He likes digging into everything, and the Survival Kit is no exception.

No dogs were harmed in the making of this post, nor were they used to test products.

5 Hour Energy Berry Flavor: Sorry, buddy. You won’t be enjoying this one, no matter how much you beg. For us collegiettes on the other hand, 5 Hour Energy is perfect for those late night study sessions.

5 Hour Energy Headphones: Charlie says that even though it isn’t food, the headphones are still pretty cool. They’re also extremely useful if you have a Fall Quarter study playlist. If you don’t,  check out the one we made!

Chipotle Buy One, Get One: He found this deal good enough to eat, and I’m sure you guys will too (the food, not the coupon).

NYC Eyeshadow Pen: It may not be his color, and it’s definitely not food, but it’ll do.

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Swivel Stick: It smelled so good, this was the only picture I could get before any serious damage could be done. Charlie doesn’t get chapped lips, but if you do, give this swivel stick a try!

Diva Cup:  He’s definitely not going to use a Diva Cup, but I guess it could make a nifty hat. Anyways, while a diva cup may not be for everyone, it’s an eco-friendly alternative to tampons and pads. According to some users, it’s a lot more comfortable than you’d imagine.

Tresemme Sea Salt Spray and Foam: Charlie was morally opposed to baths and found these products confusing. As for us collegiettes, these products are great for all of our post-shower wavy and textured looks.

Cold-Eeze: Rounding out this review made Charlie a little sleepy, but he’s sure these will help me when I inevitably get the sniffles– and you too!

While the Survival Kit may not help Charlie, it’ll definitely help us collegiettes survive this quarter, especially with midterms going on. Happy fall quarter collegiettes! We can’t wait until you get your hands on some of these items, so keep checking our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages for upcoming events!
