The Five Stages of Midterm Season

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCD chapter.

It’s that time of year where midterms are beginning to take place (or already have). In an idealistic world, we would’ve all started studying ahead of time. But we’re college students, so that doesn’t usually happen. Instead, we have our five stages of midterm season.

1. When the professor starts to discuss logistics of the midterm, and you’re not even sure what they’re referring to…

2. Then when you start to see your friends study, you realize you don’t even really know when the midterm is…

3. Then comes the point where you really start to buckle down and study for the midterm (a day before, or a couple days before if you’re on top of your game)

4. And when you see the midterm…

5. Which is followed by these exact feelings…

So don’t worry. You’re not in this alone. You, along with thousands of other college students have in fact not started studying for their midterms. Good luck, and may the curve ever be in your favor.
