I am an autumn girly through and through. For me, nothing beats crisp air and crunchy leaves as you prep for the holiday season. Even though my love for autumn is strong, it eventually does creep into winter and I always find myself cursing the cold air come February. But then, spring hits like a breath of fresh air, and suddenly everything becomes lighter. There are some moments during spring that are just unmatched.
#1: Spring Snow
One of my favorites is when the trees start to bloom. The white petals will fall off in the wind and the ground is littered with beautiful flowers. It reminds me of snow, and therefore I deem this little event “spring snow”.
#2: Weather
I can’t think of a better weather combination than 60 degrees with lots of sun. It’s simply the best of both worlds. The sun recharges me and I absolutely love sitting on the grass, picnic-style, and soaking up its rays. I always feel like I am photosynthesizing and it’s truly so nice after being devoid of sunlight for the harsh winter months.
#3: Outdoor Activities
With the increasing temperature comes more things to enjoy outside. Hiking, biking, walking, going to the beach, and so many other things seem to be so much better under the sun. It’s much more enjoyable than when you’re not actively trying to prevent hypothermia.
#4: Spring Clothes
I love love love spring clothes. Long flowy skirts, shorts, thin sweaters and cardigans, and tees are all on the table during spring. It’s the time when bright colors start to peek out and people get a little more experimental with their fits. I think it’s so much fun.
#5: Songs
Songs that feel like spring are just optimistic and upbeat. You can’t help but smile. Some songs that really embody the feeling of spring are “Tongue Tied” by Grouplove, “Electric Love” by Borns, “She Needs Him” by Her’s and “Someone New” by Hozier. These are such great songs with amazing vibes.
#6: Landscape
The spring landscape is one of the most gorgeous sceneries throughout the year, I would argue. Grass fields are lush and green as a result of the rain. Flowers and plants grow tall and bloom beautifully. The sky is a bright blue and peppered with clouds. Everything in spring has a sunlit glow. The Earth during spring is hard to beat.
Spring honestly gives me hope and optimism. It’s already started and I feel so rejuvenated and happy. Spring will never make it to my favorite season, but it’s a very close second.
