Davis Questions!

What is your major, and what are your future career plans?

I’m a second-year Clinical Nutrition major. I’m not quite sure what I want to do yet, but I know that I’d want to go into the nutrition field and probably become a dietician.

What are some of your hobbies inside and outside of school?

I love reading a LOT. I also love running and learning to play instruments. I actually just started marching in Band-Uh.

You’re very new to Band-Uh. Can you tell us what made you decide to get involved?

I became interested after seeing a couple of my friends in it. Also, when I was in high school, I always saw people marching for hours and putting so much time and effort into it. I thought they looked kind of cool. Being able to learn a new instrument isn’t bad either.

What have you gotten out of it so far?

I’ve made new friends, learned to play the flute, and let out my wild side.

Do you play any other instruments, or do you hope to learn?

I’m currently learning how to play the guitar and piano, and  I really want to learn how to play the clarinet. I also really like to sing when I’m around my friends.

You mentioned before that you want to be a dietician. What inspired you to choose that career path, and what do you hope to get out of it?

Actually, my mom was a leading factor. I’ve had stomach problems since I was a child, so my mom always incorporated healthy food into my diet. I would really like to help others with the same conditions that I have. By learning about my own body, I will then be able to help others.
