7 Things You Forgot Happened in 2007

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCD chapter.

1. The iPhone was released. And it revolutionized the world.

2. Charlie bit Harry’s finger. I wonder where these boys are now?

3. Hit songs like Rihanna’s “Umbrella”, Soulja Boy’s “Crank That” and OneRepublic’s “Apologize” were released. Now those were some good tunes. Real good tunes.

4. A range of American TV shows — including Gossip Girl, iCarly, Phineas and Ferb, Keeping Up with The Kardashians and Mad Men — were released and found popularity among viewers of all ages.

5. In the summer of 2007, the Spice Girls announced their reunion and then embarked on one of the biggest tours of the year internationally. It’s what everyone wanted (what they really, really wanted).

6. Films like Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, Superbad, Juno, Enchanted, Ratatouille, and Transformers are now a decade old. Just let that sink in.

7. J.K. Rowling released the last installment of the Harry Potter series — Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — and caused a little bit of a heartbreak. Just a little bit.
