1. Sugar Cookies

Add a little joy to this classic dessert with Christmas cookie cutters, icing, and sprinkles. Kids will love decorating Frosty the Snowman!

 

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 3 cups of all purpose flour

  • 1 tsp. baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp. kosher salt

  • 2 sticks of butter, softened

  • 1 cup of granulated sugar

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract

  • 1 tbsp. milk

The ingredients:

For the crust

  • ½ lb of unsalted butter, room temp

  • ½ cup of granulated sugar

  • 2 cups flour

  • ⅛ kosher salt

 

For the filling

  • 6 extra large eggs

  • 3 cups granulated sugar

  • 2 tbsp of grated lemon zest

  • 1 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice

  • 1 cup flour

  • Powder sugar (for dusting on top)

  • 1 cup molasses

  • 1 cup packed brown sugar

  • ½ cup water

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 can (14 oz.) of unsweetened condensed milk
