It’s likely that your Pinterest board is a reflection of all of your dreams: outfits, accessories, trips, resolutions, and more. At a glance, a lot can seem to be quite out of reach, but there’s comfort in being able to take inspiration and implementing it when you can. Here’s how I did it!
When it comes to baking, I’m not much of an expert, but I love the look of cooking pictures that remind you of a cozy night in, with my Pinterest board displaying jam-filled heart cookies, Miffy pizzas, and Jellycat cakes. While mine may not have turned out exactly like the picture, the process of making it and attempting is so worthwhile. It’s something you can either do by yourself or with friends, and it gives you an excuse to go on that Trader Joe’s run for ingredients!

Secondly, go to that place you see all over the internet! Lucky for me, I live in the hub of trending places, Los Angeles, giving me no excuse but to go to the museums and cafes I see all over my Pinterest; here are my favorites as of late: The Hammer Museum (it’s free and has the famous Yoshitoma Nara paintings) and the Griffith Observatory for all the La La Land lovers.
Of course, traveling is easier said than done, but when given the chance, I say take it. I’ll still always live vicariously through photos of my dream trip boards, but it’s great to be able to look back on my own photos and think to myself, “Wow this deserves to be on Pinterest.” I love planning my trip on Pinterest beforehand as well, as it gives me an idea of cute places I want to see that I wouldn’t have known about otherwise. Pinterest has taught me to always take photos, so now I have an abundant archive of all the amazing things I was lucky to experience. It almost feels like my bucket list, and it’s fun to look back to see what I’ve crossed off and what’s next in store.

If Pinterest has given me anything, it’s having the ability to see what I want in my life and setting a goal for me to chase. It holds a variety of my inspirations for what I want in my future, visualizing it in the simple format of boards.
