I see cerulean waves rolling –
inching closer towards me.
I squint the sun’s glare reflected –
my shimmering eyes see glimmers and glints.
I hear symphonies of beach days –
laughs harmonize with the waves that roar
I hear my heartbeat pounding –
Trying to escape me.
I taste the sea breeze –
It’s seasoned with far too much salt
I feel my worries trailing behind me –
I run.
The bay washes over my feet –
I feel at peace.
