After months of receiving comments about her body, Ariana Grande finally addressed them in a recent TikTok video. In the three-minute video uploaded on April 11, Grande begins by saying that she would like to address the concerns about her body.

Speculations about Grande’s weight loss have been increasing on the internet. In the video, she acknowledges that her body is being scrutinized.

Grande urges people to be cautious about their comments, maintaining that it is always better to mind one’s business, saying, “I think we could be gentler and less comfortable commenting on people’s bodies, no matter what” regardless of the intent, even if it is something that we may perceive as being helpful.

In her video, Grande asserts that healthy has many meanings to it. It’s hard to determine if a stranger is healthy just by comparing old pictures of them. Many of the online body comments that Grande received compared how she previously looked to how she looks right now. But, Grande says that she was taking antidepressants while still drinking alcohol, and she had a poor diet as well. Grande claims that now she is healthier than she was ever before.

Her TikTok video currently has 12.5 million likes and 200k comments. Public figures such as Bella Hadid have reposted the video as well as shown their support.
