To celebrate the end of the semester, student curators from Anthropology 431 will be hosting a film viewing night this Thursday (March 30th). The night will include the viewing of several short films highlighting the methods used by artists to create beautiful prints in Cape Dorset. Cape Dorset is an Inuit hamlet located on Dorset Island in the Qikiqtaaluk Region of Nunavut. The students from Anthro 431 are excited to share more about Inuit printmaking through these films.Â

In addition to the film viewing night, the student curators have also put together an art exhibit which displays the Inuit printmaking. This exhibit, called “Printed from Stone: Art of Cape Dorset”, can be viewed in the MOA Cafe.Â
The event will run this Thursday from 7-9pm in the Musuem of Anthropology Borden Research room. Admission to the viewing is free and snacks and refreshments will be provided.
Expose yourself to a new culture, grab some snacks, and celebrate the work of your peers, HCUBC Cuties! We hope to see you there.Â
