About Her Campus UAB
Her Campus UAB is a chapter of Her Campus, the #1 blogging community and online magazine for college women. Her Campus gives women the opportunity to express themselves freely through their creative writing and involvement in their schools’ chapter as well as Her Campus Headquarters. Her Campus UAB is 1 out of the 370+ chapters nationwide. Meet Campus Correspondents, Alana Baumann & Tamia Heard
Co-Campus Correspondent Alana is a senior Accounting major. Alana has been with Her Campus UAB for 2 ½ years and now is going into her second school year as Campus Correspondent. When we asked Alana why she loves Her Campus, she stated “l love Her Campus because it has given me the opportunity to learn and grow in a leadership role with some amazing young women on campus” Alana also loves the amazing freebies! Alana’s post grad plans include a career as a CPA Accountant while working towards retirement and becoming an event planner full time.
Co-Campus Correspondent Tamia is a senior Communication Studies/ Journalism major. Tamia has been with Her Campus UAB for 3 years and is starting her second school year as Campus Correspondent. When we asked Tamia why she loves Her Campus, she stated “I love Her Campus because it has given me the opportunity to meet and lead a group of women who share similar interests yet have unique personalities. Tamia’s post grad plans include traveling and continuing her career path as a journalist/reporter in the sports and entertainment field.
Responsibilities for Her Campus UAB team members include, but are not limited to:
- Being accountable
- Attendance at mandatory meetings
- Helping to ensure events, socials, etc. are a success
- Individualized tasks
