Different Ways to Style the Choker Trend

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UAB chapter.

The choker trend was popularized when 90’s fashion reintroduced itself back on the runways and store racks. Currently, you can find chokers at most retailers and shops. They are affordable and come in various sizes and forms. If you’re like me, I’m sure you’ve started up your own little choker collection. Now, you’ve got to figure out how you sport each of your new pieces because with them only being $4 and your lack of self control, you decided to buy each and every one you liked. *Sigh

1.  Band Tee.

Who’s your favorite band right now? Grab their tee and a choker for a casual, grunge look. You can find band tees in many shops and even thrift stores. You don’t even have to go for a band. Find a cool graphic and rock that.

2.  Button Down.

Whether you opt for a choker or tiny scarf, it’s the easiest way to look chic and put together. Adding just a tiny scarf will make you look like you’ve got it all together.

3. Off the Shoulder Top.

With the popularity of the off the shoulder top/dress you’re bound to have at least one in your closet by now. A choker is the perfect accesory to bring more attention to your neck and collar bones pulling together the whole look.

4. Dress.

Casual or Dressy? It could go both ways! Pair your dress with sneakers or heels for a day to night look.
