For all the savvy shoppers reading, here is the continued Gifts Under $50 list. This time: gifts for your friends or loved ones who love to work out (or do so regularly anyways)!

1. Classic Swoosh Nike sports bra

There are so many sports bras out there, it’s hard to narrow them all down to find a good one in your price range. Why this one? It’s one of the less expensive sports bras out there and still offers ample support. This sports bra is a good choice for those who are chestier or enjoy high-impact activities, such as running. The Swoosh bra comes in multiple colours as well, so find out your friend’s favourite!

Check out Sportchek where you can order online or find it in store! Also available at Simons, The Bay, and multiple athletic stores.

2. A yoga mat

A popular form of exercise that has multiple benefits, and that can be done at home, is yoga! A yoga mat is handy to have for when your friend can’t make it to the gym but still wants to get a little stretch and stability going on. Yoga mats can also be used for at-home workouts (think sit ups, planks, etc.), proving they’re a great multi-purpose gift! A huge plus is that they are portable and come in so many colours and patterns!

Check out this affordable yoga mat!

3. Protein Powder

People who exercise regularly and want to get more protein in their diet often turn to protein powder for a meal replacement or protein shake before/after their workout. You can even throw it into your pancake batter to keep you fuller, longer! Protein powder may be a surprising gift but your friend will appreciate it regardless. This is a fantastic choice for people who work off a lot of their calories and are looking to build some lean muscle! Protein bars could also replace or supplement this gift! Since there are so many different kinds, I had trouble narrowing it down to just one flavour or brand for the sake of this list. Depending on what size you buy, protein powders cost around $20-$60, so make sure you look at the price! Here is a list of locations where you can find protein powder: Walmart, Costco, bodybuilding.com, and Nutrition House. Some great protein powder brands are Genuine Health and Vega Sport.

4. A foam roller

Foam rolling is a new way to self-massage after a workout. Foam rolling increases blood flow to the muscles, can help recovery, and improve performance. Perfect for your workout buddy! Here is one for under $30 in orange, black, blue, and purple!

5. Kettle Bells

This is another gift that will be perfect for when your friend can’t make it to the gym. Thanks to you, an at-home workout can be your friend’s alternative! Sometimes it’s just snowy and gross outside and the journey to the gym (no matter how far it is) just puts a damper on the whole workout. Buying your friend equipment to use at home gives them the choice to stay home versus going to the gym! Check out Canadian Tire for this great deal!
