With the stress and bustle that comes with university, it isn’t always easy to give yourself enough time in the morning. Typically, the collegiette spends her mornings rushing out the door. With these 5 steps, you can take your morning beauty routine to the next level and save yourself from some of that morning rush!

1. Start the night before
Why wait until the morning right before your classes to get organized? Start your morning routine the night before. Firstly, always remember to take off your make-up before going to sleep. This will save you a lot of time in the morning AND your skin will certainly thank you for it, trust me. It’s also helpful to set out your outfit and pack your bag the night before. This will reduce your morning rush and help you get your day started on a good note. 

2. Start the morning with a glass of lemon water
Having a glass of lemon water is a great way to start your morning. Not only is it delicious and refreshing, but there are also plenty of health benefits like giving you a boost of antioxidants! Drinking lemon water as part of your morning routine will also cleanse your system, aid digestion, boost your immune system, contribute to clear skin, and enhance your mood. All of these factors contribute to a positive start to your day!


3. Switch out your face wash for an energizing face mask
You don’t have to stick to your normal skin care routine every morning. Instead of washing your face in the morning with your daily cleanser, try switching it up with an energizing face mask like the Amazonian Acai Face Mask from The Body Shop. Leave the mask on while you brush your teeth and organize yourself in the morning, then wash it off.
