Finals week is just around the corner, and the pressure is on to finish the semester on a good note. With all this focus on getting the grades we want, we can tend to get a little high-strung. Here are a few ways to keep yourself level headed and decrease stress:

1. Drink Tea

Even if tea isn’t scientifically proven to relax you, it’s just so freaking soothing. So treat yourself to a cup…or six.

2. Rock On

Music will mend your soul while finals are attempting to crush it. So make a nice playlist you can mellow out to when you’re freaking out, and make a motivational one to remind yourself that you will survive.

3. Nap Time

Give your brain a break. Take a 10 minute power nap at minimum so you can reboot. You’ll wake up with a better perspective on things.

4. Be with Friends

They’re definitely stressing out as well, and human interaction is healthy. Take some time to vent to each other about your situations. It’ll help you take some weight off your shoulders.

5. Netflix Break

Now I’m not saying you should waste 6 hours of your day when you should be writing a 10 page paper-but you can set goals for yourself. If I get x amount done I can watch an episode of New Girl. A little laughter will help keep your spirits up.

Happy Studying Collegiettes!

Hey all! I'm a sophomore here at UMass Amherst. I'm an English major and Education minor, and I'm psyched to be a part of Her Campus!
