5 Ways to Prepare Yourself for the 2018 UMass Spring Concert

UMass recently announced the performers for the 2018 Spring Concert that is put on by our very own University Programming Council every year. This year we will be seeing Lil Yachty and Khalid on April 15, 2018! Here are five ways to prepare yourself for one of the best spring concerts yet!

1. Get your tickets!

The first step for going to this awesome concert is to get your tickets! If you’re a UMass student tickets are $15 and you can buy them by going to the Mullins Center Box Office with a valid UMass ID. If you’re part of the Five Colleges, tickets are $30 and you can also buy them through Mullins Center Box Office with valid ID. The general public is able to get tickets online for $50.  

2. Invite your friends.

This concert is available to everyone and not only UMass students, so invite your friends from all over the place to come enjoy this amazing concert!

3. Learn about Lil Yachty

Lil Yachty will be the opening act for the 2018 UMass Spring concert. Lil Yachty is an American rapper and singer who gained fame in 2015 through his singles “One Night” and “Minnesota.”  He then released his album Lil Boat in 2016 and was able to take off by featuring in songs with DRAM and Chance the Rapper. 4. Learn about Khalid

Khalid will be the main act for the 2018 UMass Spring concert.  Khalid is an American singer and songwriter who also recently gained fame through his hit song “Location” in 2016.  This song took off and was able to reach number 16 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 list. After his sudden fame, he released an album called American Teen in 2017 which proceeded into a sold out tour in 21 cities throughout the U.S. Khalid has also won a VMA Award for Best New Artist in 2017 and we are so excited to have him coming to UMass for our spring concert!
