What was your favorite part about first joining a sorority?
My favorite part of first joining a sorority was making a large campus seem smaller. I loved seeing familiar faces when walking to class and having an entire group chat filled with girls willing to grab lunch with me!
What is your favorite part now?
My favorite part about being in a sorority now is watching new members make friends that are going to last a lifetime. It makes me happy that a sorority can provide a sense of home when away at school.
Why UConn?
Our sorority, Delta Zeta, was new to campus the same semester I was, but I wasn’t new to Delta Zeta. The year prior I had been initiated into the Pi Zeta chapter of Delta Zeta at Arizona State. While I had a great year with sisters in this chapter, I decided to come closer to home (and that’s why I chose UConn my sophomore year). I got really involved with DZ right from the start and president just seemed to fit considering my history and where the chapter was.
Other then DZ, what else are you involved in on campus?
Other than DZ, I’m in a Professional Business Fraternity, Pi Sigma Epsilon. I plan to join another club focused on marketing and sales in the fall.
