Getting Sick at College, As Told By Liz Lemon

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Tulane chapter.

Getting sick at college is the worst. Your mom can’t take care of you, your professors don’t care, and all of your friends are still having fun while you try to think of a way to eat soup without sitting up. You think it will never happen to you… until it does.

You sit in class listening to everyone cough. They’re gross. You will never be like them.

So you take Emergen-C like it’s your job, but you know you can’t hide forever.

Then one day, you wake up to realize that you’ve become the next victim.

You put a little extra makeup on in hopes that no one notices you look like a total zombie.

Against your good judgement, you go to the Student Health Center.

The nurses and doctors ask you invasive questions that have nothing to do with your incessant coughing.

You get your questionable diagnosis and call your mom to share the news.

You decide to hibernate in your room until you feel better, but at least you won’t be fighting the crowds at Reily.
