Valentine’s Day but Make it Covid Friendly

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Texas chapter.

We all know that this time of year calls for making plans with that special someone and buying them gifts. Given the times we are in, it is hard to see your person or get the chance to go on the dates you both wished for. Don’t worry though, I have your back on some date ideas that could help save Valentine’s Day for you & your date!

Date Ideas

  • Have a watch party online. Many apps now give the opportunity to host these watch parties. You both can pick a movie and watch it together while still being away from each other.

  • Have a dinner date in the comfort of your own home (home cooked meals are best, so why not cook together and bond while sharing a delicious meal?)

  • Have a picnic at a nice park (get a basket and fill it with snacks you both love and take a small blanket to set up)

  • Matching pj party (buy matching pajamas and have a dance party)

  • Karaoke night (test out each others singing skills)

  • Game night (get board games and have a fun night full of friendly competition)

  • Paint together while having a nice refresher (paint each other a nice piece to take home and remind each other of one another)

Trust me I get how hard it is being away from those loved ones, but we must try our best to remain in quarantine or not go out as much because of the circumstances. Hopefully these ideas can help you all find a way to have fun & remain socially distanced while having this date with your significant other.
