Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
Release Date: Nov. 11th (in theaters)
Description: Queen Ramonda, Shuri, M’Baku, Okoye, and the Dora Milaje fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death. As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with Nakia and Everett Ross to forge a new path for their beloved kingdom.
Why You’ll Love It: This one is a no-brainer given the enormous success of 2018’s Black Panther. While the loss of star Chadwick Boseman leaves some big shoes to fill, I’m sure Wakanda’s girl bosses have plenty in store for us.
Spirited
Release Date: Nov. 18th (Apple TV+)
You can also see this film during its limited theatrical release starting Nov. 11th.
Description: A musical version of Charles Dickens’ story of a miserly misanthrope who’s taken on a magical journey.
Why You’ll Love It: Will Ferrell and Ryan Reynolds in one movie?!? Nothing more needs to be said. These two actors never disappoint, and I’m confident they’ll bring it musically after this viral TikTok performance. Plus, another Will Ferrell Christmas Movie? Yes, please!
Disenchanted
Release Date: Nov. 18th (Disney+)
Description: Years after her happily ever after, Giselle, Robert, and Morgan move to a new community, and magical mishaps lead to the Andalasia and the real world being thrown off balance.
Why You’ll Love It: If you’re anything like me and grew up obsessed with Disney princesses – then Enchanted’s Giselle was no exception. Now, 15 years later, it’s time to bask in that childhood nostalgia and watch Disenchanted. A lot of Disney sequels fall short, but I have high hopes for this one after its epic trailer.
Avatar: The Way of Water
Release Date: Dec. 16th (in theaters)
Description: Jake Sully and Ney’tiri have formed a family, and are doing everything to stay together. However, they must leave their home and explore the regions of Pandora. When an ancient threat resurfaces, Jake must fight a difficult war against the humans.
Why You’ll Love It: As a kid, I was legitimately scared of Avatar, and didn’t quite get the appeal of the sci-fi/action film. But as it turned out to be the highest-grossing movie of all time, I had to admit the visual effects were phenomenal. It’s now been 10 years, and the franchise is back for a second film. With all the technological advances of the last decade, I’m excited to see how this film compares. I guess that’s just my inner nerd talking. Seriously though, there’s been an extremely high bar set for this sequel, and odds are it’ll deliver.

Why You’ll Love It: The first Knives Out film came from a star-studded cast, and its sequel is no exception. Notable cast members include Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., and Kate Hudson, among others. This movie is sure to bring great drama and thrill.
