With the rise of the internet has also come the rise of online shopping. While this has also contributed to more clothing pollution which is a rapidly growing problem, I would like to look at a different part of online shopping. This part includes popular resale sites such as Depop, Mercari, Poshmark, and Curtsy. These sites are a great way to sell used clothes, but also a great way to buy gently used items. This is a great way to help stop contributing to fast fashion and get great deals. Here are my top tips for finding quality items and great prices.

Adjust Your size preferences

A great way to view things quickly is to input all of your potential sizing information. This will help narrow down your results and keep everything relevant to you.

Save your searches

Most of the sites I listed above have an option to save your searches and this is a great way to know when new items you may like become available.

Don’t be afraid to make an offer

Many people using sites like this may just be looking to clear out their closets which could mean their prices are negotiable. At the end of the day it never hurts to put in your offer.

These are all great ways to find dresses for sorority events, themed parties, and business professional attire. I hope these tips help you find great deals and remind you to be conscious of your contribution to fast fashion.
