When we first see each other, I’m stiff from the day and from the darkness,

But at least my curls are still in place.

So politely, you set the bowl and tableware,

Bid me to relax and just sit there,

While the water kettle whistles hot air.

“Finally!” You shout, and I follow suit.

You let me go first then veggies then soup.

You leave for elsewhere, but I do not fret.

I’m irresistible,

A common staple of the college student diet.

From character development to rhetorical analyses to the pure vibrancy of words, every part must be savored like a warm pastry, which are one of the things Keesilla enjoys to bake when not reading, writing, or staring off into space.
