The Post-Party: Everything for after Spring Break

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Texas chapter.

A week off feels like a day off, I know. It’s challenging to get back into the perfect routine you had set before spring break. I wish I could forget that school started again and take a month off like I did last year when COVID-19 first hit. It’s almost like I NEED a break after spring break.

Unpack all your bags

If you did any traveling for spring break, even if you just went back to your hometown, unpack your belongings as soon as you can. It lessens the load of everything you have to catch up on, and you’ll most likely regret leaving it for later. Wash all your clothes and put everything where it belongs, and it will set you up to get back into your normal routine.

Sleep

Duh. You probably didn’t get a lot of sleep if you traveled, but catch up on your normal sleeping schedule to get yourself back even if you did. You’ll need it for your first week back.

Plan

The semester is almost over, but your plans have probably been changed a little. Re-organize your schedule and make a list of all the work you have to complete for the week. Even if nothing changed, sometimes it helps to start fresh and give your brain that little boost.

Starting somewhere is still starting, even if it’s small. Post spring break feels like drowning is school work, but getting back into the groove of things makes everything so much easier in the long run.

Hey! I'm Gabriella and I'm a senior at UT majoring in psychology, minoring in sociology and pursuing a certificate in forensic sciences. I'm excited for all that this last year brings and I can't wait to write about all my adventures! <3
Hi, I'm Madeline Muschalik! This is my fourth year in Her Campus; I wrote for Her Campus at Wake Forest University before transferring to UT in fall 2019. Last year I was the Her Campus Texas Co-President and Campus Correspondent & it was so rewarding. I am excited to explore Austin and learn more about our university through Texas Her Campus. Some of my hobbies include running, reading, yoga, and traveling! I am a Public Relations Major and with a minor in Entrepreneurship and certificate in Creative Writing. Outside of Her Campus I am involved in Texas American Marketing Association, Moody Communication Council, a member of the Kendra Scott WEL Institute Student Council, Texas Kappa Delta, and I am a Transfer Year Interest Group (TRIG) mentor. I love UT & all the amazing opportunities (like Her Campus) that it has to offer!
