It is my absolute favorite week of the year! Even though it may feel like you’re melting every time you step outside, it’s FASHION WEEK. Time to ignore the sweat and think of the trends! Though runway looks can get a little wacky, here are some trends from New York Fashion Week that are sure to blow your mind. You’ll be strutting down that sidewalk like you own it in no time.

Shine Bright Like a Diamond

Everyone has the quintessential going out outfit and its always black. The most high fashion and fabulous thing you can do, is to go with brights when you think “party attire.” No more blending into the shadows when you go downtown. Stand out in in fabulous hues of anything from bright magenta to highlighter yellow.

Perfectly Undone

This is for those days when you wake up and your skin has decided to be close to perfect. Don’t bother caking on all that unnecessary makeup! All you need is a chic, yet understated outfit and a clean face to make the ultimate cool girl statement.

A Different Kind of Sporty

When we think of the word “sporty,” college has made us associate that with Nike shorts and big t-shirts on the way to class. Not anymore ladies! Try incorporating more structured dresses and tops with sport-like fabric like mesh! Even trousers and cut out crop tops will give you that little sporty edge. This look proves that being fashionable doesn’t always have to be girly!

Go Big…

…or go home! The best thing about fashion is that it’s fun, it’s risky and it’s carefree. Next time you get dressed, pick one bold accessory to make the center of your look! Whether it be killer shoes or an amazing statement necklaces, the possibilities are endless. It’s the perfect way to get any conversation started!

We may not be in New York or London, but hopefully these tips will help you explore your fashionable side! But don’t forget the most important accessory: your confidence. So, go out, strut your stuff and make the world your runway!
