Being a college girly, I had the most typical college backpack: A North Face Borealis. Don’t get me wrong, I loved my backpack. It had pockets that fit everything, it was a beautiful pink, and when it rained, nothing got soaked. Fast forward two years and my backpack was still entirely intact, but I wasn’t obsessed anymore. I felt like I looked like a “school girl,” and yes, that’s technically what I am, but I’m not a kid anymore. The backpack made sense some days, the days I had a mountain of books and stuff, but on the days I wanted to go study at a coffee shop or just had one class to go to, the backpack was too much. I wanted simple, I wanted cute, I wanted a tote bag.

I wasted no time and ordered myself a tote bag. Originally, I wanted one that I had seen on TikTok, but it was sold out and I had no patience. After lots of searching, I took a risk and ordered a random bag off Amazon, and let me tell you, I am obsessed.

For starters, the color is absolutely beautiful. It isn’t too big, like the perfect tote bag size, and it fits everything! (Obviously, the more you put in this bag the heavier it gets, but space will not be your problem here.) It has two pockets on the side for an umbrella and a water bottle, side pockets for your keys and stuff, and a zipper on the main bag!

Personally, I really love this upgrade. I feel like it makes me look more sophisticated, more classy, and older. (With the way I dress I literally look like a mom but in a good way.) The material for this bag is also waterproof, which is perfect for rainy days, and it is easy to clean. When I say you can fit everything, I mean laptop, iPad, books, chargers, etc. (Everything!)

I love my tote bag, and if you’re debating a change, this is definitely a sign. As I mentioned, the only con is that it can get heavy depending on what you put in there, but then again, so do backpacks, so pick your battle. Here is the link to the best college tote bag if you’re considering to dump your backpack too!
