We’ve finally reached the holidays! Queue ‘Santa Baby’ and put on How the Grinch Stole Christmas! I’m excited to go home and finally get a chance to relax after a busy semester. I always look forward to spending time with my family and friends from home.

Here are a few cute activities you can do at home if you’re feeling festive but want something relaxing to do:

  1. Watch holiday movies with family or friends! I love watching old Christmas cartoons like Frosty the Snowman or Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Watching some old movies that I watched during my childhood always puts me in a festive mood and makes me feel like I’m a kid again. Bring out the hot chocolate and some sweets and curl up near the TV to watch these classics!
  2. Decorate a gingerbread house! I love breaking out the gingerbread kits and using all of the candy to decorate the house! I also love to see how other people decorate as well. Christmas is such a fun time for baking, so if you want to bake cookies and decorate them as well, that is such a fun activity too.
  3. Decorate a Christmas tree (real or fake)! I know dealing with ornaments is a pain, and I get it. But having a little Christmas tree with cute pictures of your friends, family, pets, etc. is adorable and festive. Your tree can be as big or small as you like, and it doesn’t matter what color it is. Your tree can be your canvas, so you should decorate it with what you want!

Those are just a few ideas for what you can do if you prefer to relax at home. Do whatever makes you happy and comfortable, and don’t forget to bust out your ugly holiday sweater! Happy Holidays!
