Dear Mr. Right,
I am glad to have you on my side. I wonder how we met. I wonder if you look at me the same way I look at you. I think about how it feels to find closure through your presence and warmth in your arms. I wonder if your cuddles bring me comfort and joy while holding your hand. I hope we are similar in a way that we both have a kind hearts and how we view the world. I hope you enjoy dancing and have similar taste in music so we can scream out the lyrics. I hope you have high spice tolerance so you can enjoy my cooking. I hope you enjoy late-night drives listening to a playlist that we both created. And while we will connect with our similarities, I want to ensure that our differences are ways we can learn from each other. I can do the dishes but on days when my body feels tired, I hope you volunteer a hand. You can help me cut the veggies as I start preparing the meal. And as we get ready for bed, when we are really tired I hope we are glad that we are laying next to each other. You can play with my hair as I rest in your arms. I will fill you in my poetry and you will find depth through my words.
During the drives, I hope you volunteer to drive because you know how much I dislike driving. I hope you enjoy traveling. We can go on vacations and getaways where it is just you and me. Perhaps we can go visit our family and friends or a place where we have never been before. Let’s dance in the rain and enjoy the little moments when we both are there with each other. I hope you try doing my henna because you know how much I love it. I will learn to make your favorite food that you really like. Let’s have a conversation about how you want to be loved and I will try my best to give you the love you want I hope you try to offer the love I want. We can learn and grow from each other. I can watch a sports game if you really enjoy it and perhaps someday we can both watch an emotional movie because I enjoy watching it. You must be patient and understanding with me and realize that my emotional side is what makes me who I am. You know that art and creativity keep me going but to understand the aspects of my personality you must feel somewhat similar towards me and realize that it is a beautiful expression of self. A tired day after work, we can just lay in bed and order food. You should take care of me and I will take care of you. I hope you understand the crazy, fun, loving, and sad side of me. When you are tired and need a talk, I will try my best to offer you comfort and space if you need it. When I feel upset, I hope you try to make me feel better and acknowledge my feelings. I hope that we can create a safe space for each other that is non-judgmental and perform an open perspective. Let’s communicate about how we can be there for each other and when we need space from each other. At times when I need space, I hope you can give it to me and I will do the same. Let’s be flexible and supportive of each other. You understand that I am a hardworking and passionate being and you must respect me and value me as a woman. You must respect that my studies, dignity, and love for myself will come before our relationship. We can learn to better our relationship with understanding, gentleness, and respect. I know I have shared my heart and you should not take it for granted. I will treat you with love and respect. I will admire your love and I hope you appreciate my love. I hope you stay close to my heart and appreciate the memories we create. The little and smallest things will matter to me the most. We can capture the sunset, watch the waves and find closure in each other’s arms.
I am not searching for you at the moment, but I know you are somewhere out there. I can feel it. It does not mean I am not waiting for you. I am currently living in a world that is fulfilled with just me in it. I hope when you come you can add a little bit of sparkle into my life and I will add some sweetener to yours. For now, let me learn to love myself a little more.
