Halloween is the second most important day in October (after OU of course), but that doesn’t make it any less important! It’s the only day of the year that you can go out dressed up as whatever you want, from the spooky to the sexy, and no one can judge you. The best part is that reminiscent of the trick-or-treating days of our youth, you can still get all the candy your heart desires, but now mixed with a teeny bit of alcohol. Here are some of ways to spend your Halloween this year!

1. Go downtown!

6th street takes on a life of its own come October 31st. The streets are jam packed (more than usual) with Austinites who are ready for a good time. Grab your friends and get ready to see the craziest costumes. Costumes + drinks+ friends=best night ever!

2. Have a movie night!

All those Halloween classics and horror movies you’ve been hording since childhood are now ready for their primetime moment. From Hocus Pocus to The Nightmare on Elm Street, the choices are endless! With a bunch of snacks and friends this would be the most fabulous night-in.

3. Throw a partayyy

Decorate your apartment in all those spooky little decorations you’ve been seeing since early September, put on some great music and throw rager! Make sure everyone comes in costume prepared to party the night away.

4. Trek to a haunted house

In case you actually want the crap scared out of you on Halloween, head on over to the nearest haunted house. These people are trained to make you pee your pants! Spend the night running from scary zombies and killers and get the adrenaline rush of your life.

Regardless of what you decide to do, HCTX wishes you the most spooktastic, happiest Halloween!
