Enjoy these healthy summer treats!

1. Two-ingredient banana ice cream

First off, slice bananas into bite size pieces and lay them out on a baking sheet/pan and then place in the freezer. After letting them freeze overnight, puree them and add in some peanut butter or nutella (if you’re feeling adventurous) and mix! Then place that mixture in a container and place in the freezer overnight again in order for it to solidify. Then the next day you will be able to enjoy this healthy and dairy-free ice cream. I personally can never get enough of this sweet treat, mainly because I’m obsessed with bananas and because it is just so darn delicious. It has the same consistency as creamy ice cream but less calories and no dairy, which is perfect for those who are lactose intolerant!

2. Frozen grapes

When I was a kid these were my favorite things to eat in the summer and I can’t lie, I still enjoy them now. Whether I was running around, biking, hanging with friends, or even just swimming I would have a bowl full of frozen grapes and pop them in my mouth and enjoy the cool and refreshing taste while under the hot heat that was being excreted by the sun. These are mess free snacks that you can enjoy on a lazy summer day or even to take on the go! Its as simple as cleaning the grapes and tossing them in the freezer overnight, in order to enjoy the next day.

3. Popsicles

These healthy popsicles are an easy and quick treat for the summer. These pops can even be a fun substitute for breakfast, in place of a yogurt parfait. It’s a great and healthy way to beat the heat. All you need to do is select a fruit of your satisfaction and puree those and add in any type of yogurt you choice, and if you want added sweetness you can add in some honey or agave nectar. These treats are great for the hot summers and nutritious substitutes for regular sugar filled popsicles.
