As a college student, I am careful about what I spend my money on. But don’t get me wrong, I love to shop and probably treat myself a little too often. With that being said, I’ve put together a list of “wants” that turned out to actually be worth the money. These are purchases I’ve gotten the most out of and would never regret buying.
The Dyson Airwrap has quite literally changed my hair game. Before I got it for Christmas in 2020, my hair took 45 minutes or more to dry. Since becoming a Dyson owner, my hair dries in 15 minutes, saving me so much time. Although I have the Dyson, I’ve learned that a more affordable option with the same benefits is the Shark. If I hadn’t been given the Dyson, I would have bought the Shark since both tools are very similar. Now, I never even use your average blow dryer because the Dyson is faster and styles my hair better.
2. A Good Pair of Pajamas
I am a sucker for a good pajama set. Coming from a person who has collected over a dozen Roller Rabbit pajamas, I can confidently say they are worth it. Other brands that I love are Lake and Eberjey. Pajama sets elevate your nighttime routine and help you feel relaxed and comfortable. I’m not saying you have to have as many as I do; I have an obsession. But just one or two pairs are worth it.
Last year, my roommate walked out in the cutest jeans. I told her how much I liked them, and she said they were actually sweatpants. What?! I was stunned and immediately looked them up. The price almost made me turn my head, but after giving them further thought, I decided to treat myself while Rag & Bone was having a sale. These jeans have become a staple in my wardrobe, and although they are expensive, I get so much wear out of them. I can walk out of the house feeling comfortable, but from another person’s eye, I look put together.
4. Kindle
This is for my reading lovers… get a Kindle! I was hesitant about becoming a Kindle owner because I loved the feeling of turning a physical page. After hearing rave reviews from my friends who own a Kindle, I decided to get one. Since then, I’ve noticed that I’ve been reading a lot more than I ever have before. The convenience of having any book I can think of at the tip of my fingers took away the tedious process of having to go out to get a new book or wait for Amazon to drop it off. Now, I’m a big stan of Amazon workout sets, but I think everyone needs a good-quality workout set to add to their wardrobe. The soft material is lightweight and feels like butter, making the set just as comfortable as it is cute. When it comes to activewear, I am always looking for pieces that are fashionable and functional, and Artizia gives me the best of both worlds. This set checks all my boxes, letting me work out in something that makes me feel put together and confident during my workout.
