With the New Year in full swing, here is a list of movies to watch out for in theatres, in case you get a study break!
Zoolander 2 (February 12)
This highly anticipated sequel to Zoolander is sure to make audiences laugh with Derek Zoolander (Ben Stiller) and Hanssel (Owen Wilson) as they team up with Valentina (Penelope Cruz) to find the culprit behind the murders of beautiful male musicians. With appearances from Justin Bieber and other musicians, this movie promises to be a big entertainer.
Divergent Series: Allegiant (March 18)
The third movie in this blockbuster follows Tris ( Shailene Woodley) and Four (Theo James) as they venture out into the world that has alluded them. As they begin to recognize that life beyond the wall entails dangers, how they navigate this new world is the backbone of this film.
Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice (March 25)
Despite the personal vendettas that both Batman (Ben Affleck) and Superman (Henry Cavill) have against each other, they must pust aside their difference and fight Doomsday, who was created by Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg). This movie promises to be a huge blockbuster with two of the most entertaining superheros as well as Superwoman (Gal Godot).
The Jungle Book (April 15)
This classic story is being revamped for today’s audiences as the film shows how an orphan boy, Mowgli (Neel Sethi) navigates the jungle with help from a bear, a black panther, and a pack of wolves. With the voices of Hollywood’s biggest stars such as Scarlett Johnson and Lupita Nyong’o, this film is on track to recreate the magic of the beloved 1967 movie.
Mother’s Day (April 29)
Director Gary Marshall, best known for Pretty Woman and on-ensemble films such as Valentine’s Day, is back. This romantic-comedy is sure to warm viewer’s hearts because of its light storyline and host of A-list actors such as Shay Mitchell and Jennifer Aniston.
