6 Ways to Spruce Up Your Apartment

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at TCNJ chapter.

There’s no place like home, so here are six simple ways to decorate your apartment!

1. String lights

They’re not just for the holidays!  String lights add a warm glow to any living space and can be enjoyed all year round.

2. A tapestry

Tapestries are the perfect way to cover up large, blank walls.  They instantly make a room feel like home, and they add a pop of color.

3. Canvases and Posters

Adding art to your walls makes your apartment unique.  Hunting for the perfect poster is an adventure, and it doesn’t get more personal than displaying something you’ve painted yourself.

4. Flowers

If gardening isn’t your thing, go for a low-maintenance plant like a cactus or a succulent.  If that’s too much responsibility, fake flowers are just fine.

5. Throw Pillows and Blankets

This simple addition to your sofa will instantly make your living room cozier.  Before you know it, it’ll be your favorite spot to nap.

6. Picture Frames

Scattering picture frames on windowsills and in bookshelves is another way to personalize your living space!
