The following poems were written as warm-ups for poetry I wrote for a project last semester. I thought it was a pity to keep them to myself, as I was very proud of them when I wrote them. Each one focuses on a woman from each trilogy of the 9 movies (Padme Amidala for the prequels, Leia Organa for the original triligy, and Rey for the sequels) and the specific tragedy that befell them (the downfall of Anakin Skywalker, the destruction of Alderaan, and the loss of Ben Solo).

The Queen- A Path I Can’t Follow

How cruel a fate: to

watch helplessly as he, who

you once loved, crumbles.

The Princess- Stardust

All that was left: dust.

In one burst of green light, a

whole planet, just gone.

The Scavenger- Be With Me

I used to carve hope

into the walls, but to reach

for you, it is gone.
