COLLEGE STATION, Oct 7, 2022 – This upcoming Thursday, October 13th, the Zeta Lambda chapter of Alpha Delta Pi will be hosting PiHop. PiHop is an annual philanthropy event supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC).

Ronald McDonald House Charities provides a home away from home for families throughout a child’s hospital stay. There are multiple programs RMHC provides, including House programs (for families traveling far from home for a child’s medical care), Family Room programs (private place in the hospital for families to relax and decompress), and Care Mobile programs (bringing healthcare services to underserved communities).

Since Texas A&M’s Alpha Delta Pi adopted RMHC as their philanthropy, the chapter has raised over 10 million dollars and has hopes of donating enough money for family rooms to be built in local Bryan-College Station hospitals. Family rooms have been built in St. Joseph’s Regional Health Center in Bryan, where the sisters of Alpha Delta Pi serve their philanthropy and their community.

In recent years, Alpha Delta Pi has raised over $17,000 with its annual fall philanthropy event, PiHop. PiHop consists of a pancake dinner with bacon and various toppings located at their sorority house (1500 Athens Drive). Tickets are $5 and all proceeds will be going to RMHC. Tickets can be purchased here and all members of the Aggie community are invited. There is also a silent auction with items from various local Bryan-College Station businesses, including Galleria Spa Massage, BCS Axe Throwing, Sabi Boutique, and more. More information about PiHop can be found here or on their Instagram @aggie.adpi.pihop.
