Lying on her bed

Her brown eyes, staring at the ceiling.

She could not say a word,

but her heart would not stop screaming.

The night breeze caressed her face

and whispered in Marie’s ear:

If you did not feel it,

you wouldn’t even think it.

Winter dreams

and shattered hopes

Stand and knock decisively on her door.

It’s been so long since she last someone loved

She blinks, stares, and turns away.

The fear of pain won’t let her stay.

Deep inside, she knows the truth,

but the wall clock warns it is too soon.

Mosaics of memories.

Kaleidoscopes of emotions.

Who is now the one that sets

Marie’s heart in motion?

Hello, My name is Brenda. I am a senior student at Texas A&M, majoring in Biomedical Sciences and minoring in Spanish. I have an enormous passion for reading and writing. My favorite movie of all time is Beauty and the Beast, and I dream of becoming a dentist one day.
