With this ongoing pandemic, it is not a secret that there is a lot of free time available. So, why not use wisely to better ourselves?

Drink A Gallon of Water Everyday

Not only will this help you stay hydrated throughout the day, but also help clear up your skin and get rid of waste in your body.

Read A Book

Keep your mind active and pick up a good book. This will help you build your vocabulary, reduce stress, and alleviate depression. So, set aside some time to calm down and dive into a good read.

Go Outside

Whether you are going for a walk, a picnic, or even a bike ride, getting fresh air helps you feel happier and reduce stress. But that is not it. Taking a walk a few times a week will also increase your vitamin D intake.

Exercise

Yes, although laying down and watching Netflix seems like the perfect go-to activity, exercising is actually a great way to improve your health. It will help you maintain a healthy weight, reduce the risk of heart disease, and improve your mood and overall mental health. The list of benefits that come with working out goes on, but these are a few that stood out to me.

Be Kind

Just be kind to those around you. Try to compliment someone every day; trust me, a simple compliment can go a long way. Always strive to be the bigger person, for you never know what another person may be going through. Many things can be hidden behind a smile, so go on and just be kind.

Go make a change in your everyday life by following any of these pieces of advice. They can seriously improve your mental and physical health.
