Ask anyone in this college town to recommend you a spot for coffee, and everyone will have one answer: Dutch Bros.
On January 8th, 2021, the first Dutch Bros in Texas opened up in College Station, and cars lined up at the drive-thru only shop for miles to get a taste.
When I saw all the videos of the insane lines that went on for weeks (and still carry on today), I laughed and said: “How good can the coffee be?” I was not expecting that the new coffee giant would become one of my favorite stores.
After things died down a little bit, I headed over to the small coffee shop and hopped in line. Not only did it move very fast, but the customer service is some of the best I have experienced in my short twenty years of life.
The employees at Dutch Bros are always smiling and carry a positive attitude, which in turn puts me in a good mood, ready to take on the rest of the day with my daily dose of caffeine. On top of that, the shop is always blasting fun music from its speakers. This makes waiting in the line a little more bearable!
Even though it’s been less than three months since their official opening here in College Station, the new coffee joint has solidified itself as a force to be reckoned with. It is now amongst the coffee royalty such as Starbucks, Dunkin’, and Sweet Eugene’s. It has taken our college town by storm. And it doesn’t look like the excitement and loyal customers it has gained will be going anywhere anytime soon.
