Batiste Makes a Pit Stop at Texas A&M

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at TAMU chapter.

With finals week looming overhead, I have been sequestering myself in Evans Library, desperately trying to absorb any extra information I can. So when I heard Batiste was coming to College Station and hosting a free yoga session?! I signed up ASAP, excited for a break from studying.

And boy, was it the break I needed.

Batiste had a popup event in the middle of Simpson Field, a grassy field in the center of Texas A&M’s campus. And from 11 am to 2 pm they were handing out their amazing dry shampoo samples. I arrived just in time for the yoga class, at 12pm. For a blissful, albeit hot, hour, we ran through a myriad of poses.

It was fun and revitalizing but also equally exhausting and satisfying—the perfect way to spend a Tuesday afternoon! And the class wasn’t too crowded, about 60 people, so the experience still felt curated.

I can admit, after the hour of yoga in the Texas heat, I was sweating. I was also on day two of unwashed hair so it was a mess and I had to stay on campus for a couple more hours. But with the free samples Batiste gave out, it was the perfect time to try out the product! And I am so glad I did because I have been religiously using the products ever since.

Batiste Dry Shampoo in blush is my current favorite.

Their products make it easy to have your hair feeling and looking great in minutes! This – at least for me – frees up energy and time for everything else I have on my plate, allowing myself to better focus on my mental health and live my best life!

Howdy! I’m Gabriela Gomez, an avid reader who is interested in all areas of publishing and writing. And reading of course! I’m the Editor-in-Chief; I currently oversee all the publishing of articles for the Her Campus at TAMU chapter. I am overjoyed to read all the members’ articles and make any corrections that will help to elevate the article. I have been with Her Campus at TAMU since my freshman year. The first year I was a general member on the Writing and Editing committee. During that first year, I wrote a total of 23 articles and was always finding new ways to help. For my second year, I worked as the Senior Editor, publishing more than 80 articles and writing 38 articles. Now in my second semester of junior year, I have implemented a new pitch process for better organization and cleanest, I have already published more than 170 articles, and I have written 16 articles and will continue writing more! Besides working as the Editor-in-Chief, I am a dedicated student at Texas A&M studying Biomedical Sciences. I am also obtaining a minor in both English and Spanish. While not studying diligently, I work in a research lab grinding away, trying to get my name on some research papers (fingers crossed). In my free time, I read, obviously. I am also on the hunt for the best latte to ever bless this earth and love a good game of chess!
