Fall Activities in Tampa

The temperature has dropped to 85 and the breeze is picking up. Ladies, fall in Tampa has arrived! Warm, cozy sweaters, cute little boots and hot drinks, fall has such an amazing aesthetic to it. It’s kind of bummy that the weather here doesn’t match the kind of fall we love (crisp air, red and orange leaves on trees), but that doesn’t mean Tampa doesn’t have its own amazing things to do and places to visit during the fall.

Hyde Park Village

There may not be any orchards nearby to go apple picking, but you can definitely still get pumpkins at Hyde Park Village. The small shopping center has its own pumpkin patch available for all visitors to walk through, get pumpkins and take cute pics all October. If that isn’t enough fall vibes for you, there’s also the occasional fresh farmers market, full of delicious fruits, vegetables and local treats. Besides that, Hyde Park Village has its own Fall Art Fair, a weekend dedicated to local artisans and their amazing works.

Goat Yoga with Grady Goat Foundation

Yoga is great, but imagine it with goats. Yup, it actually exists! Named after a goat that was born blind and deaf, the Grady Goat Foundation provides support to both animals and children facing physical and mental disabilities. Their most popular way of fundraising is hosting Saturday morning yoga sessions in the ranch, guest starring all the goats! Need another reason to try out goat yoga? The goats love to jump on your back- especially the baby goats. Tickets sell out fast, so get yours here.

Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens

Ok, let’s be real, we all love Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios, but not all of us got the car (or the money!) to get us to Orlando. For all my thrill seekers and horror enthusiasts, there’s no need to fear because Busch Gardens hosts its very own haunted houses for only 19 nights in October. Think it’s not scary enough? Try it out; there’s a reason why it’s Tampa Bay’s number 1 haunted attraction, complete with scare zones all over the amusement park.

For everyone 21+, Oktoberfest Tampa is the event to be at this fall. From Oct. 12-Oct. 14 th . The three-day festival is an ode to everything beer, along with celebrating German culture. The event is at Curtis Hixon Park, where you can enjoy amazing German food like traditional bratwurst, chicken schnitzel and frankfurters. All you need to do is show up thirsty. Prost!
