Binge Shopping on a Budget

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Tampa chapter.

Over the past couple of years, I have always been trying to find shopping deals and cute clothes for a cute price. I am also now guilty of online shopping because I can spend HOURS doing so. I online shop at the usual stores from malls but recently I have fallen in love with romwe.com and shein.com. For some clothes, it is really a hit or miss with these websites, but I have overall been happy with what I get and even happier with the price I pay. As trendy college gals, I know we are always looking for more clothes and even more deals!

I have ordered from both companies and a lot of people think they are sketchy websites because they are so cheap. My one tip for those of you interested in shopping on these sites is to pay attention to the sizing and the customer reviews. I’m a pretty consistent size but some of their measurements fluctuate between different types and styles of clothing. So carefully watch the size charts and the customer reviews because they are more accurate and personal. They can really help you determine if you should purchase something or not. With sizing, I am more meticulous with it when it comes to buying bottoms like skirts, shorts, or pants. Their clothes generally fit me well and if anything, they have very minor adjustments to make that you can do at home or get someone else to do it for you for another small cost.

Another thing to look out for is the material of some of the clothes. Obviously you cannot feel the material when you’re shopping online, but some blouses may be a lot thinner in person than what you see in the picture. I’ve only had one issue like that so far and found that it’s no hassle to return items. You simply fill out a ticket online and they will take care of everything else once you mail it out and there are no extra fees for delivery charges. Every time I have ordered from either of these sites the clothes were delivered to me within a week or two weeks which is not bad at all!

Personally, I like to get tank tops, crop tops, blouses, and simple everyday shirts from these sites. They are cute, trending, and not overpriced. I have gotten a few skirts and I love them as well as some super cute sweaters that are perfect for the fall and winter fashion trends.

They are always up-to-date with the latest styles and trends and give the best offers and coupons. Not to mention the student discount you can take advantage of!! I definitely recommend going through these shopping sites and similar ones that you find when you think your closet needs a little revamping. I recently purchased about 14 items for only $80 and received free shipping. That is a steal to me and I couldn’t be happier with the items I got!
