Spring is here! It’s time to transform and renew. Although your first instinct might be to buy a new wardrobe, there are many ways to reinvent yourself that don’t involve breaking the bank. So if you’re in need of some freshening up, we’ve got you covered.

1) Change your hair.

This doesn’t mean you have to go platinum or get a pixie cut, but changing it up by adding some highlights or long layers will keep you feeling fresh! The best thing is hearing people say that you’re glowing and look different without being able to point out exactly why.

2Whiten your teeth.

Who doesn’t love a bright smile? With spring and summer on the way, there are a million reasons to flash those pearly whites. You no longer have to spend millions to whiten your teeth; there are tons of at-home treatments that will make a huge difference! However, I would definitely advise to talk to your dentist first and make sure whitening will not irritate your gums or enamel.

3) Change your diet.

Again, I don’t mean drastically! Start out by taking away a few ingredients and adding a few healthier options in their place. If you’ve always wanted to eat more salad, start by incorporating some lettuce and kale into your lunch sandwich. You will slowly transition into a salad-lover. Want to cut out the junk food? Begin by substituting your morning cereal for a cup of granola. Small changes go a long way and will leave your body feeling revitalized with so many new nutrients!

4) Find a new style icon.

Do you want to change up your style, but don’t know how? Begin by updating your inspiration board and choosing a new style icon. You’ll find the inspiration rubbing off on your own everyday ensembles.

5) Update your go-to accessories and purse.

On that note, switching out what is at the back of your drawer with what is in the front is a great way to find “new” pieces. Most of us wear that same black, knit sweater everyday because we’ve chosen to sleep in and that was the cutest thing within our reach. Plan your outfit the night before, including pieces from the back of your closet.

6) Colorize your smize.

This might seem a little crazy and possibly is not be the best choice if you want a long term effect. However, wearing colored contacts every once in a while is super fun and will literally make you feel like a brand new person! There are so many options out there that look very natural. Who hasn’t wanted to have piercing blue or deep brown eyes for a day?

7) Change your part.

If you like playing it safe, instead of getting a haircut or dying it, just change your part! Going from a middle part to a side part can transform your entire look. I personally change mine almost every day now, but when I started to switch from one side to the other, I would get asked a ton of questions: “Did you get a haircut?” “Did you get some highlights?” “Your hair looks amazing, what treatment are you using?”.

8) Incorporate items of contrasting style into your outfits.

Another way to fake a new wardrobe is by mixing and matching what you already have. You know that girly dress and those combat boots you thought would never work together? Well, throw on a cropped leather jacket and they just might! After all, fashion is fun when you stop worrying about following the rules.

9) Find a new signature scent.

Yes, everyone loves the way you smell and thinks it is “so you.” That doesn’t mean you can’t go on the hunt for another scent that fits you just as well, if not better. Everyone may love your Marc Jacobs perfume, but having to smell it every morning can get quite boring for the person who actually wears it: you. So get some coffee beans, or, as someone once told me, your leather jacket (did you know that the smell of leather is actually better at neutralizing scents?) and embrace your natural perfume!
