10 Viral Advertisements Every Female Should See

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Syracuse chapter.

You can spend hours on YouTube watching videos. You come across videos that will make you laugh, videos that will make you cry, videos that inform and videos that appeal to emotions like anger, hate and disgust. YouTube is full of interesting videos, but here are the TOP TEN current viral video advertisements I believe all females should see. Take a look. I promise it will be more enjoyable than watching Taylor Swift- I Knew You Were a Goat When You walked in (yes that’s a real video).

P&G Thank You Mom: This is an appeal to warmth, happiness and family. P&G knows how to tug at your heart strings, and make you really say, “Thank you Mom.”

Girls Don’t Poop: “Yes this is a real product,” and yes you may laugh at the absurdity and pure hilarity of this advertisement.

Labels Against Women: We are living in a man’s world, but this advertisement proves that we have the power to change societal labels and be an individual. “Don’t let labels hold you back.”

Dove Real beauty Sketches: With its over 60 million views, I am sure you have seen this video before. Now, re-watch it, and think about how you view yourself. Is it an accurate depiction of how your friends view you?

What would you do with $25,000?: Choose to make a difference in your life and others.

If Only for a Second- Choose to live. Choose to be happy and enjoy life. If only for a second, choose to forget that evil, death and sadness exist.

Photoshop Live: I think photoshop gets a bad reputation from the feminist community. While I don’t believe photoshop’s purpose is to enhance breasts or remove birthmarks, I do believe it is a form of creativity meant to spread laughter and joy.

The Camp Gyno: It’s time to talk about that awkward pubescent moment, that moment of declaration, “I am a woman!” That moment you were embarrassed about for months as a tween. Doors are now open for the Camp Gyno.

Pro Infirmis <>: We were not meant to look like model stick figure mannequins. That is not how we were intended to appear. So what if mannequins looked more like us, imperfections and all?

Amazing Mind Reader Reveals His ‘Gift’: It is what your parents have told you for years, “Be careful what you post on social media.” Protect yourself. Just because your settings say “private” does not mean even the most unskilled hackers can’t access your information.
